The official lead service
The MWC Barcelona entry page says the networking badge is used for lead retrieval and for access to sessions, and the pass FAQ says the badge can be scanned for lead retrieval. The exhibitor resources page points to the Online Event Manual for rules and services. Check that manual for the official scanner and its price.
The visitor badge
Visitors show a Digital Access Pass with a QR code at the perimeter. On first entry they get a printed networking badge, which is the one used for lead retrieval (MWC Barcelona). The pages we checked do not list what is printed on it. Swopi reads the printed name and company and any QR code.
How to get more from your stand at MWC Barcelona
Scan the networking badge, not the phone pass
The QR code on the Digital Access Pass is for the entry gates. The networking badge is the one made for lead retrieval. Ask visitors to show the badge and scan that one.
Names should be reliable
MWC asks attendees for passport or EU ID details and a recent photo before arrival (MWC Barcelona). That is a good reason to expect real names on badges. Still, check the company spelling before the lead goes to your CRM.
Tag ministers, partners and buyers
The 2026 show counted 2,900 exhibitors, sponsors and partners and 188 ministerial delegations (GSMA). Many people walking the floor are your future partners, not your buyers. One tag per lead keeps your follow up clean.
Expect visitors from over 200 countries and territories

Send the first emails on Monday, 8 March
The show ends on Thursday 4 March. Do not wait for the weekend to pass. Write the first emails while the conversation is fresh, and use your notes so each message mentions something the person said.
